Icecrown Citadel - Rotface down
Not much to say here - it's a quite chaotic fight, especially in the end, but quite easy to manage. We downed him on the sixth or seventh try overall.
We had a short glimpse on Professor Putricide - the fight looks very promising. Less RNG components compared to Festergut and Rotface fights.
Next ID, the third wing openes and even more bosses are available. And if the difficulty stays at this level or arises, then Blizzard kept it's promise. |

Icecrown Citadel - Festergut annihilated
The second wing is - luckily - much harder than the first wing. Festergut is not really that complicated, but the tight enrage timer turns it into a nice dps race.
After adjusting some tactics, positioning and spore spots, he bites the dust with only the two main tanks alive... MOAR DOTS! :)
With our current 3 days raid schedule, we have to wait for the next ID to have a go on Rotface and we are really looking forward to it |

It was a fun fight, but well, you can win that one with both hands tied on your back... But I love the jetpacks! :D

Icecrown Citadel - 3rd day part 2, first wing clear
After 4 tries, Saurfang bites the dust. Nothing special to mention here, tweaked the tactics a bit for our group and down he goes.
Looking back on the first wing, I have to say that the boss design is back to Ulduar standard, which is good, has a bit higher difficulty level, which is even better and after the lag situation was under control, it was all about executing jobs properly.
I like that there is almost no RNG component in the bossdesigns, I don't like that Blizzard follows the "fun raider" approach. Yes, the difficulty improved - but just a bit. Where are the times, when you wiped for days and weeks on an endboss?
Anyhow, 22 days left until the next wing opens... |

Icecrown Citadel - 2nd Day, 2nd Strike
Lag situation hasn't been much better - but the forced instance reset of Blizzard enabled us at least to grab some more loot. After getting used to Lady Deathwhisper we delivered a not less than perfect kill of her.
Too bad that it was too late for us to continue - I am really looking forward to the Gunship Battle. It doesn't sound as if it'd be much of a difficulty, but it seems to be a fun fight at least. |
